Volusia Building Industry Association 2022 Parade of Homes Magazine

VOLUSIABIA.COM/PARADEOFHOMES | 1 A MESSAGE FROM The President Sincerely, AMY HAWORTH PRES IDENT VOLUS I A BUI LDING INDUSTRY ASSOC I AT ION (MINTO COMMUNI T I ES) Welcome to the 2022 Volusia County Parade of Homes. I am excited to introduce you to the talented professionals in the building industry right here in our community. The last two years have taught us that we can do hard things, and we can do them well. We are introducing a new hybrid Parade of Homes experience this year! You will see virtual and in-person entries as well as community entries. I hope you take the time to see each one of these special entries and the talent and creativity behind each finished product. I am extremely thankful to the builders, associates, members and personnel that made each entry possible this year. To appreciate these entries, you have to know the hurdles that had to be jumped in our industry over the last year. Most of these hurdles included material delay. The pandemic played a major role in supply chain disruption, which trickled down to the builders and their trades. This caused delayed completion dates where some homes would be at a standstill in production for weeks. We are seeing a light at the end of this tunnel recently and have hope for continued progress where supply can catch up with demand. These entries stand as a reminder of what determined builders and their trades can do in the face of a challenge. Home inventory is low now, but it will not always be low. Material is sparse, but it will not always be that way. Your local builder and associate members of the Volusia Building Industry Association are proud to present these entries and hope you enjoy taking the time to see and experience each entry. “You can dream, create, design and build the most wonderful place in the world.
