She is a frequent speaker at leading industry conferences and has been the recipient of design awards from ASID and Contract Magazine. Margi recently participated in the ASID Illinois Chapter event, IMPRINT, on a hiring panel discussion held at the Holly Hunt Showroom. Margi is based in Chicago and joined CannonDesign’s health practice as a Principal and Co-Director of the Health Interiors Practice. Margi is responsible for market initiatives while collaborating with healthcare clients to develop and help execute future thinking strategies and solutions. Margi possesses more than 30 years of experience in practice, most recently as a Vice President at CallisonRTKL, where she led Healthcare Interiors, and as an Interior Design Project Manager at Northwestern Medicine West Region. Prior to joining CannonDesign, she oversaw a wide range of notable projects for many of the healthcare industry’s leading systems. Margi’s experience working within a health system alongside practitioners has given her a unique, practical perspective from the provider side of healthcare. “Connecting people and ideas to the healthcare environment through empathy, inspiration and design – that’s what I consider my life’s work. Creating spaces that promote health and well-being is my passion, and working with like-minded clients that want to explore the impact of design on the healthcare environment is what inspires me to reach higher,” said Margi. Randy Fiser, the CEO of ASID said our 2019 member of distinction “is the quintessential embodiment of ASID’s community by focusing her life’s work on the positive impact design has on people lives. As a leading healthcare designer, she supports her clients with research backed solutions that create empathetic spaces supporting the health and well- being of patients, families, and caretakers. She often volunteers her time and expertise in helping to advance the professional careers of other designers; building on their understanding of the profession; and emphasizing the power of design to positively impact lives.” 2019 ASID Illinois Member of Distinction –
